TTPO

TTPO-Turkish Trade Promotion Office was established in 1996, with the aim of promoting bilateral trade relations between Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). It is the second overseas branch office of IGEME- Export Promotion Centre of Turkey shortly IGEME , a non-profit government organization affiliated to the Prime Ministry Undersecretariat for Foreign Trade of Turkey .

TTPO's Head Office is located in Ankara, Turkey. By the end of 2003, it operates 2 TTPOs in 2 countries worldwide and 2 regional and 18 provincial representatives, which were created in cooperation with the network of Turkish Chambers of Commerce & Industry and Exporters Unions countrywide. TTPOs provide on-the-spot practical assistance to Turkish exporters abroad, and represents unique contribution to the promotion of Turkish exports.

Main Objective

TTPO's main objective is to promote international trade and cooperation between Turkish and foreign companies. TTPO´s professional information, assistance and consulting services accompany Turkish exporters to foreign markets, and the Office is a contact partner for firms entering the Turkish market, seeking interesting and reliable business partners and suppliers.

To promote Turkish exports to TRNC is not primary goal of TTPO, also the Office was set up to provide assistance to exporters suffering from political and economic embargos imposed to TRNC.

Target Group

The office provides services Turkish exporters. A c onsiderable number of our exporters are also manufacturers looking for sub-contractors who can supply competitively priced components or products. The office provides services also exporters & importers in TRNC.

They range from large to small and medium-sized companies.

TTPO can help you find new suppliers of goods and services based in Turkey. This service is rendered free of charge.

• TTPO, shall find Turkish partners suitable for long-term industrial cooperation. This service is rendered free of charge.

• The Office renders business visits. TTPO shall assist you with organisation of negotiations with selected Turkish companies. This service is rendered free of charge.

Upon request your company's particulars and services it offers may be published in IGEME's “ Daily Foreign Trade News Bulletin” on the following day of delivery to our Office. This Bulletin has a wide circulation among the business circles in Turkey and reaches the subscribers through fax as well as electronic mail. We consider inquiries regarding export, import or joint venture etc. valuable.

Copies of IGEME'S publications can be obtained from our Office. A well-equipped commercial library is at users disposal.

Through our Office you can reach the related organizations in your field of interest, in Turkey.

TTPO distributes the promotional materials such as books, directories, and brochures, CDs etc prepared by IGEME.

TTPO has close cooperation with trade related both private and public organizations like Chambers of Commerce and Chambers of Industry , Department of Trade, Department of Industry, of the Ministry of Economy and Tourism , State Planning Organization, Department of Customs of the Ministry of Finance etc.
