Better than Cetaphil and Cheaper too!
by .. Avaya (USA)
I can't remember how I found out about Aquanil but I'm glad I did! After years of using Cetaphil, my skin began to become sensitized to it (I'm thinking it was because of all the parbens it contains). Aquanil does not use parabens; plus, it contains yummy ingredients that act as humectants which means skin that stays moist and soft! Can't beat that! Love, love, love Aquanil. It is a staple in my skin care regimen!
Great for Sensitive Skin

This cleanser was recommended to me by a dermatologist. I have rosacea and my skin is very sensitive. I also have blepheritis, and I can use this to clean my eyelids with no irritation of my eyes. I love this product, and I'm getting more for myself and some for my mother.
A different kind of clean.

I was on Yahoo! answers when I came across a question about face wash where an answerer recommended this product. The name caught my eye so I decided to do some research on what this product is like on Amazon. It sounds kinna interesting and so I decided to give it a shot.
I'd like to pat myself on the back on taking this risk because I really like this product. It's a different feel than washing your face with regular soap or body wash. It doesn't get bubbly, it's not fragrancy, it goes on kinna weirdly. Yes, this IS lipid free but when you're sweeping it over your face, it feels oily. That's not a bad thing, I'm just describing how it feels on your face, that's all. It's how your face feels AFTER that's what's important. After the rinse, it doesn't feel like a bar soap kind of wash. With bar soaps, my face feels clean - TOO clean; so clean it's super dry and uncomfortable. After washing with Aquanil, it doesnt feel super clean. It feels like there's still stuff on my face but it feels NICE. My face feels moist and normal - like it's clean but not dry. Ok i gotta a better explanation: after I clean my face with Aquanil, I don't feel my face drag when I smile as with regular soap. It doesn't feel like you have anything on your face either like lotions and such, it feels normal but better.
It's not necessarily for acne because there's no benzol peroxide and stuff in it but I've noticed that it has slight drying out properties to it; like the blemishes I have would dry up a little. This didn't get rid of black and white heads for me, if you're wondering, but obviously that's not what it's for.
I usually just wash once in the morning and occasionally, for no reason at all, a second time in any given day. I got the 16 oz bottle which is pretty good for the price. it's probably gonna last as long as my body wash - I think maybe a month or two.
Well, sorry for my bad grammar but I hope I've been helpful. This is my honest take on it. Hope this product is right for you. I recommend it and the more you buy, the less chance it'll get discontinued. If that ever happens, I'm gonna get real mad at you...
Gentle, soothing cleanser for face, hands and body.

I have been struggling with eczema on my hand. Cetaphil was not improving it and the Rx medication from my derm did not resolve it. After reading reviews on the internet for Aquanil I ordered it from Amazon. My hand now looks normal, no more redness or split sores. It can be applied either on wet skin or dry and rinsed or tissued off, whereas the Cetapil must be applied on dry skin. It is so convenient to jump in the shower and wash with the Aquanil. This is a great product.
excellent cleanser for sensitive skin

I like this much better than cetaphil because you can use it on wet or dry skin so if you are getting in the shower you can wet your face, cleanse and rinse off. I am also washing my hand with it that has eczema and it has gotten it under control along with an RX from my derm.
